国生み神話｜はじまりの物語

日本には、日本最古の歴史書とされる『古事記』に記された、国のはじまりを語る神話が伝えられています。

伊弉諾尊（いざなぎのみこと）と伊弉冉尊（いざなみのみこと）が、天の浮橋から矛を下ろし、最初に生まれた島が「オノゴロ島」とされています。

二柱の神はその島に降り立ち、そこから国生みをはじめ、最初に生まれたのが「淡路島」です。

その後も国生みは続き、島々、そして神々が生まれ、日本が形づくられていきました。

日本の神は、唯一の存在としての“神”ではなく、自然やあらゆるものに宿る「八百万（やおよろず）の神」として捉えられています。

この地は、そのはじまりの物語に位置づけられる場所です。

目に見える風景の奥にある、遠い遠い記憶に、そっと触れていただければと思います。

In Japan, the story of how the land came into being is recorded in the Kojiki, the country’s oldest historical text.

It is said that the deities Izanagi and Izanami lowered a sacred spear from the Floating Bridge of Heaven, and the first island to appear was Onogoro Island.

Descending upon that island, they began the creation of the land, and the first to be born was Awaji Island.

The act of creation continued, bringing forth many islands, and then countless deities, shaping what Japan has become.

In this tradition, gods are not seen as a single absolute being, but as presences that dwell within nature and all things.

This land is understood as a place within that beginning. Beyond what is seen, you may sense a distant, distant memory.
