Sazareishi is a type of stone formed over a very long time, as many small pebbles gradually bind together to become one large rock.
It is famously mentioned in Japan’s national anthem, Kimigayo: “May the small stones grow into a great rock, covered with moss.”
This line expresses the idea of time, growth, and enduring connection.
