淡路人形浄瑠璃は、淡路島に古くから伝わる伝統芸能であり、国の重要無形民俗文化財にも指定されています。
三味線の音色と語り、そして人形の繊細な動きが重なり、物語の世界が目の前に立ち上がります。
その起源は、国生み神話にもゆかりのある「戎舞」にあるとされ、長い年月をかけて受け継がれてきました。
古淡では、淡路人形座による出張公演を通じて、この土地に息づく文化に触れていただく機会をご用意しています。
ただ“観る”だけではなく、この地に流れてきた時間や物語に、そっと身を重ねてみてください。
Awaji Ningyo Joruri is a traditional puppet theater that has been passed down on Awaji Island for centuries, and is recognized as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan.
Through the harmony of narration, shamisen music, and delicate puppet movements, stories come vividly to life before your eyes.
Its origins are said to trace back to “Ebisu-mai,” connected to Japan’s creation myths, carrying forward a deep cultural lineage.
At KOTAN, we offer the opportunity to experience this tradition through special visiting performances by the Awaji Ningyo Theater. More than simply watching, you may allow yourself to enter the time and stories that have flowed through this land.
